Westcoast
Piercing offers three types of Body Piercing Training; Basic, Advanced
and Apprenticeship. The Westcoast Apprenticeship is only offered
once a year to a select individual with a true passion for the industry,
wishing to join the Westcoast Piercing Team. |
Basic
Training Information
Piercing students will learn basic piercing anatomy, piercing techniques,
safety and sterilization procedures, determination of appropriate jewellery
for specified sites, piercing aftercare and problem solving.
The course includes documentation on piercing origins and procedures,
sample aftercare and release forms and a compilation of alternate information
pertaining to the industry.
Basic Training consists of five – seven hour days. SERIOUS APPLICANTS
ONLY PLEASE. All students will be required to perform a minimum 5-7
piercings, in the showroom, on their own volunteer clients. If you are
from out of town or do not have any volunteers, we will do our best
to gather them for you, providing we receive 45 days advance notice.
These volunteers will pay the retail price for jewellery plus a $5 service
fee (for needles, packaging & sterilization). They will not be charged
the normal piercing fee.
Upon completion of the course all students will receive a Certificate,
bearing the reputable Westcoast Piercing name. Training will be done
during regular Showroom hours.
All jewellery and supplies, to start your own business, are available
through Westcoast Piercing, however, these products are not required
for course completion.
BASIC PIERCING TRAINING
• 2008 ~ November 10 -14th
• 2009 ~ February 9 -13th & November 16 - 20th
Curriculum:
Basic Piercing Fundamentals ~ Piercing knowledge ~ Literature ~ Aftercare
~ Sterilization ~ Blood borne Pathogens ~ Safety Precautions ~ Problem
Solving ~ Hands on Applications & Piercing Techniques
Fee:
$1,000 course + $650 training materials + applicable taxes
A $200 retainer is required to confirm your spot. Course fee must be
paid in full 30 days prior to instruction.

Cancellation
Policy
The retainer is fully refunded providing written notice is received
60 days prior to the training date. A $100 fee will be deducted for
cancellations received between 30-60 days prior to the training and
the full retainer will be deducted if notice is given less than 30 days
prior to the training.
ADVANCED PIERCING
TRAINING
• 2008 ~ November
18 - 19th
• 2009 ~ February 17 - 18th & November 24 - 25th
Prerequisite
~ MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE BASIC TRAINING

with your qualifications.
Curriculum:
Recognition of all Genital Anatomy, Genital, Surface, Extreme Techniques~
Modifying Jewellery to fit sites ~ Multiple Hole Piercing
Fee:
$600 course + $250 training materials + applicable taxes

APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM
Westcoast Apprenticeship
is offered yearly, to a select individual with a true passion for the
industry. He/She must be open minded, have a flexible schedule, be willing
to work in and out of town and at special events and concerts. This
person must also be outgoing, a quick learner and work well with the
public.
